The lesson of the pyramid:
If a pyramid is be-headed, what remains is not a pyramid and a pyramid. Regardless of “joining” with a base, the pyramid is based. A “base” without a pyramid is not a pyramid, but a high place. “Joining the two” destroys the “base” and reveals the pyramid.
